I am Malala

Author:  Malala Yousafazi

Review by: William

Year Group: Year 6

Review:

This is a great non-fiction read about a young girl (Malala) who lives in Swat, a state of Pakistan.

Her father is a teacher and campaigns for girls rights to equal education to boys. Things are going well for her family when a terrorist group called the Taliban come. They start violently punishing anyone who disagree with them and their beliefs. I would rate this book for Year 4 and upwards, as it contains some upsetting moments.

4 – Very Good
